Winter National Dressage Championships

A week of superb results at Hartpury Winter Championships -Natalie Kayal took home a load of prizes and many compliments when she took a 3rd place with 72% on Bravo at Advanced medium music and a decent 68% with her less experienced horse Cleverboy and then the next day a fantastic 2nd place with Bravo again in the PSG freestyle with 70.5% and a 7th place in the Inter 1 freestyle with Homerun and another 70% test – now a little day off and then a guinea pig for the National Judges convention at Addington Manor in Bucks with Homerun- what a week

Springsteen does me proud!

My own Berrifield Stuntman took to the competition scene again and got a respectable 67.2%in advanced 102 at Hunters Equestrian- he has not competed much in his career so I was thrilled after a winter of work that he is still on track to compete in a PSG towards the summer- he thoroughly enjoyed himself and it was great being inside the white boards again!

Myerscough Premier League

Natalie Kayal made the long journey up to Lancashire very worthwhile at the weekend when she got two 7th placings in the FEI PSG and Inter 1 with 68% with DHI Bravo and Homerun and then Bravo won the PSG Freestyle with 74% and to crown the weekend Homerun then won the Freestyle Inter 1 Music with 71% – what a fab set of results and such a good start to the year- oh exciting times!! To all my clients-Its a 100% pass rate! – everyone who went to qualify at the Regionals to get to the Winter National Championships are going- from  Elementary Restricted to Inter 1 Music at the Gala evening- come along to watch on the weekend of 8/9 th April-and a big well done to everybody trained by Berrifield dressage

Happy day at Addington Regionals

Natalie Kayal pulled out all the stops and qualified all the horses she took to Addington Regionals at the weekend- DHI Bravo, a horse she has had since he was a baby 4 yr old shone like a true superstar to claim 3rd place with 70.6% in the PSG music freestyle only having done a few tests at Advanced and then came 1st in the advanced medium freestyle with 73.9% beating his stable mate DHI Cleverboy , who is Elementary National champion by 1% and he came 4th with a very respectable 72.4%- DHI homerun also came 5th in the big PSG music class with 69.7% and has an invitation to do the Inter 1 freestyle at the Gala evening during the Nationals in April- a busy time coming up for Natalie in April but all very deserved for someone who works hard all the time and is so dedicated- well done to all the team including Casey her groom  who is backstage all the time keeping the show running

Regional Championships 2016

Eva Carse and her own Der Wellbeloved or “Charles” as he is known at home had a successful day at the Winter Regional Championships at Addington Manor with a 5th place in the Elementary Restricted class with a 69.79% test- Eva has been a regular client now for some time and Charles also events and showjumps- only last week he got a 69% in medium 69 and is now nearly qualified for the summer championships at Medium- a brilliant achievement for Eva as this is the first horse she has got to this level in affiliated dressage –

Lucy begins her dressage career

Veteran horse and Rider Championships 2015

Last weekends Vale View BD Veteran horse and Rider Championships  in Leicestershire proved a worthwhile long run for my pupil Siobhan Elliott who took her own Blue Gray Gallivant ( or Cally as he is known at home ) to compete in the Prel 17 championship  and came 5th with 70 % and then came 3rd in the Novice 38 championship with 68.39%- Siobhan has been training with me for some time but has now moved to her own stables at home in Somerset but still finds time to come here to berrifield  for lessons- Cally is a fabulous little horse who in his other life finds time to compete in the grassroots championships at Badmington horse Trials!! A true superstar with such a big heart but well done to Siobhan for a superb result in a national competition

A Show to Remember!

Natalie Kayal wowed the huge crowds who turned up to the Horse of the year show at the N.E.C  last night with Jo-Jo ( dhi Homerun) to come 6th in the Mount st John Inter 1 freestyle- the culmination of a year of hard work led her to this invitation only competition for the most up and coming promising young dressage horses with Grand prix potential- we had such an amazing night, what with the atmosphere and the thrill of competing in such a big show but Natalie pulled out all the stops and should be very proud of her achievement – hard work and commitment – well done fab result
